Hydroxyethyl cellulose for dialy use chemicals，It is a white or light yellow, tasteless, non-toxic fibrous or powder solid, which is prepared by etherification of basic cellulose and ethylene oxide (or chloroethanol). It belongs to non-ionic soluble cellulose ethers, non-toxic, tasteless, and easily soluble in water. Insoluble in general organic solvents.
As a non-ionic surfactant, hydroxyethyl cellulose has the following properties besides thickening, suspension, adhesion, emulsification, film-forming, dispersing, water-holding and protection：
1).HEC can be dissolved in hot water or cold water.
2).Its nonionic type can coexist with other water-soluble polymers, surfactants and salts in a wide range.
3).Water retention capacity is twice as high as that of methyl cellulose and has better flow regulation.
4).The product has stable viscosity, mildew-proof, better pot opening effect and better leveling performance during construction.
